Art in the Forest: A Day of Trees, Prints & Stories

October 4  •  Live

Join BRAC for a family-friendly day of creativity, ecology, and community care on Saturday, October 4th, 2025. Taking place at the River Garden near our West Farms studio, this three-part event invites neighbors of all ages to explore and protect our urban forest — through art, action, and storytelling.

Nature Printmaking Workshop

Create beautiful, nature-inspired prints using leaves and found objects! Learn about patterns and textures in the environment while making your own take-home artwork.

Plant a Tree

Join us as we give back to the Bronx by planting a new tree and learning how trees support healthy air, water, and communities. We’ll walk over to our friends at Bronx River Community Garden for this activity.

BRAC Storytime

Wind down the day with a cozy, nature-inspired stories back at BRAC. The Lorax by Dr. Seuss is a classic story following the adventures of the Lorax, who speaks for the trees and warns about the consequences of cutting down forests. Through fun rhymes and colorful illustrations, children learn the importance of protecting trees and caring for the environment. Perfect for kids and families!
