Free After School Program for Middle Schoolers - MSCreate

Check out BRAC's newest program! MSCreate is a FREE after-school program designed to build critical thinking skills in a safe and supportive environment through engagement with a wide array of visual arts.
The program is available five (5) days a week from 3:30-6:30pm, with classes starting at 4:30pm. Geared for creative students who are considering specialized high schools and building their art portfolios, the Fall session ends with a student show in our gallery.
Mondays and Wednesdays are drawing sessions with comic book artist Gregory Maldonado. Tuesdays and Thursdays are mixed media classes with artist Shawn Hill; upcoming sessions will include linoleum printmaking, sculpture, lettering and aerosol art.
Field trips will include visits to Bronx artist studios and galleries, as well as ecology and history tours of the Bronx River.
Fridays are workshops with a range of teaching artists and mediums.

Please note that we have a first-come, first-serve policy. Reserve your spot as soon as possible!

Cancellation Policy: If a class does not meet capacity, it may be canceled, in which case students will have the option to either take another class or receive a full refund.
Unless otherwise noted, all classes include materials and use of professional equipment.

In-person classes will take place at the Bronx River Art Center, located at 1087 E. Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY 10460
Virtual classes will take place over Zoom, with links sent out no latter than two hours before class time.
