'Virtual/Monumental' Narratives Along the Bronx River
By Polis | web link
Amidst the sprawl and scenery along the Bronx River, there is a collection of visual narratives on the past, present and future of the area.
For the exhibition "Virtual / Monumental," at the Bronx River Art Center (BRAC), a group of artists have dotted the landscape with stories and visions, inviting viewers to find them using mobile devices, augmented reality apps and QR codes.
From future sites for urban farming to time-lapse videos of traffic streams, the rich culture of the Bronx River becomes visible through the lens of art and technology.
"Virtual / Monumental" is on view at BRAC until Nov. 11, 2012.
