AKA Faculty and Dean

Come and join us to celebrate the culmination of our work at the academy in this special event to take place at BRAC on the Block @ Bronx Art Space: 305 East 140th Street in the Bronx.

AKA - Active Knowledge Academy- a project initiated and under the direction of media artist Hector Canonge, transformed BRAC's gallery space into a classroom and art laboratory for four weeks.  The "Graduation / Exhibition" event will feature new works produced by six artists who took the role as AKA Associate Faculty Members and twelve artists participating as AKA students. Documentation of the learning process, ephemera from the courses, and comparative studies executed by Canonge in his role as Dean of Academics will also be on view.
